Long-term friends and fellow fundraisers for Multiple Sclerosis charities and causes are taking on this massive challenge in July 2023.
Kenny Smith and Richard Halsall are cycling from the Tower of London to the Eiffel Tower in Paris,  on a Tandem! 

As if that wasn't enough of a challenge, they also live over 300 miles apart so training together will be very limited.
This challenge is very personal and close to both their hearts. They have both lost loved ones who lived for many years with Multiple Sclerosis. Kenny’s sister Kathleen unfortunately lost her battle 7 years ago and Rick lost his wife Carol to Covid 2021.

Both Kathleen and Carol inspired Kenny and Rick for many years to take on numerous challenges to raise funds and awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. 

Between them they have have trekked, ran and cycled over 4 continents taking on challenges such as, Skydiving, trekking the Sahara, climbing Kilimanjaro and Everest, trekking Peru, India, the Great Wall China and the Grand Canyon, as well as many events in the UK such as completing 10 London Marathons, cycling the Ride London 100, the Three Peaks Challenge and cycling 2655 miles around the UK for 50 days!

To date these two fundraising friends have raised a staggering £300,000 for multiple sclerosis charities and have won many awards in doing so, these guys really are the real deal and are no strangers to a challenge! 

The idea for this challenge was dreamt up one drunken evening while chatting on the phone, and since that day they have been focused on getting the job done.

They will be riding their jointly owned Tandem, named 'CarLeen' after Kathleen and Carol, with Kenny at the helm and Richard bringing up the rear and have both said that this will certainly be a great test for their friendship
