Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes (H4H) provides support for wounded servicemen and women injured during the course of their duty. H4H was launched on 1st October 2007 as a short term charity appeal with an urgent need to raise £6 million for the swimming pool and gymnasium complex at , the tri-service rehabilitation centre in Leatherhead. H4H was established in response to the desire of the public to do something practical to show their gratitude and support for current servicemen and women doing their duty in often harrowing environments and circumstances.
On Sunday 13th December, I was privileged enough to provide refreshments for the
2009 RAF Lyneham 'Santa Saunter organised by the brilliant
Colin Mathieson AE, VRSM, RAFR
and his wonderful squad working for the Reserve Forces working as a Support Officer with a AeroMedical unit based at RAF Lyneham. .
Part of the refreshments was my now infamous “Keron’s Baileys Bread & Butter Pudding” which was greatly received and I was asked for the recipe, for which I said I would forward on, when one of the Squad, Bernice Brady
. Help for Heroes Volunteer, suggested instead that I sell the recipe online through the “Help for Heroes” website.
Well that is exactly what I have done, so if you want a copy of the recipe with step by step instructions on how to make it, and then donate a £1, you can give more if you wish.. make sure you give me your email address and I will email you the Secret Recipe… email :

Thank you, this is such a good cause and one we should all be supporting, no one can take away the commitment our troops do for us.
I live on the outskirts of the village of Lyneham going into Wootton Bassett, where we have the repatriation ceremony for our heroes, it is always sad, but also makes me immensely proud to be part of this wonderful community, so please let’s all do our bit to help.
All of this money will go directly to the "Help for Heroes" fund through just giving.
Colin, I hope this helps your target, and thanks for letting me feed you all, happy to make it an annual event.
Thanks Keron x
