Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On 07.06.16 Jorgi gave birth to the beautiful Dollie at just 24 weeks.  Dollie only weighted 1lb 04oz!!! She was so early that Harlow hospital didn't have the equipment to cope with her.  Dollie was transferred to Addenbrookes in Cambridge. Thanks to the Sick Children's Trust, Jorgi and Scott were put up in emergency accommodation at the hospital, they were literally in the room below Dollie. This enabled them to spend all day, every day with her, at no cost to them, the charity covered everything.  This was so amazing, as they were going through so much, if they couldn't have stayed with Dollie it would have made it even harder.

Unfortunately for our family Dollie didn't make it and she lost her fight on 09.07.16.

We, as a family, have decided to try to do as much fundraising as we can for this amazing charity, so that other parents who find themselves in Jorgi and Scott's position can also have the opportunity to stay with their baby.

About the charity

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.
