To say this is a challenge for me is probably an understatement and the thought of what I am about to take on is getting ever more real and scary BUT, let's be fair, this is not a fraction of what people diagnosed with cancer have to face. A fear no one should ever have to endure. 

All I have to do is keep moving my feet forward for 26.2 miles! My feet might bleed, my knees might ache, my toe nails might fall off - but I will reach that finish line! That word "cancer" however, depicts a marathon of it's own meaning; that has no confirmed end point and gives no indication of what is going to happen along the way. 

Many people will face this battle ... some will reach that finish line ... but heartbreakingly others will not. 

I am doing this in memory of my beautiful friend Abby - who's memory lives on in all of us who were so lucky to have her in our lives and who will be forever missed.
