Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 11 September, I will be doing my first Great North Run. Having heard so much about this famous half-marathon, it’s something I’m really looking forward to – especially because I’m running for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.
Sir Bobby launched his charity in 2008, within the NHS. Its goal is to find more effective ways to detect and treat cancer and work funded includes cutting edge cancer technology and the clinical trials of new drugs at the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trials Research Centre in Newcastle.
Sir Bobby was a man and a football manager I admired a lot. And cancer is, sadly, something which affects us all in one way or another, so I’m very proud to be running for this charity. I lost both my parents to cancer within 3 months of each other 10 years ago so it means a lot to me too.
Please support me with a donation if you can. Many thanks.
