At Northern Ireland Hospice, we care for more than 4,000 babies, children and adults with life-limiting illnesses, both in Hospice and in the community. We look after every patient's nursing, medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs with support for their family continuing into bereavement.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Our friend Aidso McCann is a very keen marathon runner and he has agreed to run the 2017 Causeway Coast Marathon to help raise much needed funds for the Northern Ireland Hospice. My wife Sharon Donnelly is a patient in the Hospice and we are raising funds to show our support and thanks for all of the great work carried out by all of the Hospice staff and volunteers.

They were so helpful when we were celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary, we had planned to go home for the event however a few days before the blessing Sharon contracted a serious infection which meant that it was too risky to consider going home for the few hours. As ever to the rescue came the Hospice staff they allowed us to use the day Hospice unit as the venue to carry out the blessing and to celebrate afterwards which allowed us to have a really beautiful and memorable day.
