Freddie's Future is a Special Fund of the Bone Cancer Research Trust raising vital funds for life-saving research into Ewing sarcoma.

Story

Freddie was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer in November 2019 called Ewing’s sarcoma which was metastatic (in more than one place). It’s an aggressive cancer that creates tumours in the bone and soft tissue that can spread to anywhere in the body, very quickly. Freddie underwent around 8 months of gruelling treatment, including 14 rounds of chemotherapy and 6 weeks of radiotherapy, which was beyond tough and more than any child should ever have to go through. Sadly first line treatment is very out of date - some of the chemotherapy drugs are over 40 years old and come with some scary side effects, and after everything patients go through, relapse rates are high so Freddie will be monitored for years to come….this is all due to lack of research, this awful disease needs so much more to give better outcomes. To read all about Freddie the little heroes story and what he went through, here’s his full story https://www.bcrt.org.uk/get-involved/tribute-funds/freddies-future
