RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I volunteered for the Lowestoft Lifeboat crew in 2012. Now that I've successfully completed my probationary period, I've been issued my own personal kit . I thought it would be cool to try and raise the cost of it, to save the RNLI money.

Here's what my kit costs the RNLI:

£385 - ALB Lifejacket

£170 - ALB (All-Weather Lifeboat) Jacket

£165 - ALB Trousers

£319 - ILB (Inshore Lifeboat) drysuit

£166 - Crew Safety Helmet

£82 - Thermal suit (we call it the “Woolly Bear”)

£42 - ALB Steel-Toecapped Sea Boots

£16 - Titanium / Neoprene Gloves

£1345 TOTAL

That is a big sum...

Please help if you can!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the RNLI and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the RNLI.

Of course, if we manage to raise more than £1345, that would be brilliant! Every penny counts!

Best Regards

Stuart
