Kumon Maidstone South Sunflower Competition

Kumon Maidstone South Sunflower Competition · 1 April 2022
The sunflower is the National flower of Ukraine.
As a mark of unity for the people in Ukraine, each of our students will receive a packet of sunflower seeds in their next homework pack as part of our sunflower growing competition.
There is a £25 Amazon voucher to be won for the grower of the tallest sunflower measured on 31st July-14th August! This will be matched by a £25 donation by us to support UNICEF's Fundraise for Ukraine appeal.
We have provided a flexible window for measuring your child's plants to allow for summer holidays and to hopefully allow every child to participate. However, you can measure your child's plant on any date that suits you best before the deadline of 14th August.
Entry to the competition is free but we would welcome a suggested donation of £1 to our fundraiser to support families and children suffering from war and devastation in Ukraine.
If your child would like to participate in the competition, please let us know as soon as possible and if you are able to support our fundraiser, we would very much welcome any donations by 1st April.
We also have spare packets of sunflower seeds for any siblings who would like to enter our competition - please let me know as soon as possible though as we only have a limited number of these.
Thank you for your support and we can't wait to see our students' beautiful sunflowers blooming in the summer!
