Story

Liverpool Half Marathon 29.05

Berlin Marathon 25.09

Yorkshire 10 Mile 09.10 (yes, two weeks post-marathon!)

Hi! I ran the Liverpool Half Marathon in May 2016,  and am running the Berlin Marathon in September 2016  in order to support the work of Parkinson's UK. Two weeks after that, on 9th October 2016, I'll be running/limping around the Yorkshire 10 Mile course in York.

I actually detest running, but I wanted to do something to raise money for Parkinson's UK. The charity is a great source of support and information for my mate, Nick.

Nick has been my personal tutor, colleague, friend and [let's pile the cheese on while I'm here] the big brother I never had. From persuading me to carry on with my degree, to mentoring me in my career, to guiding me through numerous personal problems, to saving me money on a car, to adding to my knowledge of Manchester United's history...he has been a bigger source of support, help and guidance than I could ever fully articulate, so this is a small gesture of support for an organisation which I know does the same for him.

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
