Introducing Pink Thread
If there is one thing we wish to give our children more of than anything else, it’shope. Hope is the greatest motivator, it gives us faith that we can change ourworld for the better.
“Breast cancer rocked our world. Everybody in our family is affected. It has ripped through us and all of our friends…and the impact is on all of us.”
Sadly, most of us have been affected by breast cancer and have witnessed the damage itcan do. But there is hope. Through the Pink Thread Project, Lands’ Endis joining forces with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, an organisationcommitted to preventing and curing breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promisingresearch.
“I found a lump when I was 23 and it was very scary. At the time my son was two years old, I feltI needed to pretend to be strong, pretend that I was getting through this. But I didn’t know who to turn to for the strength I needed.”
Ourtarget is to raise £10,000 for Breast Cancer Research. From 30th Sept to 31 Oct 2016, Lands’ End will donate £5 from the purchase price any pink product to ‘Against Breast Cancer’. We will also donate £1.00 for every ‘Pink Thread’ embroidery added to a garment. Please visit our website at www.landsend.co.uk for further details.
“I have two daughters and I need to tell them the truth - that I have breast cancer. When is the right time to have that conversation?”
We’ll post updates on this page as we go, and we would encourage you to donate whatever you can through this webpage. Thank you – we are all in this together and your participation is vital.
“In the end I realised I wasn’t alone and I needed to survive to tell my story.”
