Lands' End supporting The Sepsis Trust · 7 October 2016

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

Story

'Starfish' is a film based on the incredible true life story of one of our employees Tom Ray, and his family. Tom and wife Nicola’s perfect world was turned upside down when he succumbed to the devastating effects of sepsis, and this powerfully moving film follows their battle to hold their family and marriage together. Starring Tom Riley and Joanne Froggatt, Starfish was filmed in Rutland in 2015 with other employees taking on cameo roles! The film is out now!

We want to support the Sepsis Trust and raise awareness of this condition.
