Catching Lives is a day centre open 7 days a week, providing essential facilities (food, laundry, showers etc) and individual support to improve housing, health and social connection. Our vision is of a society where everyone has a safe place to live and the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life.

Story

We are sleeping and living as homeless people for 2 days in the centre of our school, King's Canterbury, to raise money and awareness for Catching Lives, an amazing charity working with Canterbury's homeless to provide them with much needed shelter, meals, showers and much more. Unfortunately, there are many homeless people on the streets of Canterbury, so it is hard not to notice and feel the need to help them in some way. Not only will we be sleeping rough, but having only extremely basic meals like ones you would have from a shelter, and without any change of clothing or access to any indoor facilities. We will only be going indoors to use the loo. We'd really appreciate any donations.
