Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page.

My inspiration for holding a Eurovision fundraising party is my best friend Luke Perry. I previously set up this page in 2015 when running the London marathon in memory of Luke and was overwhelmed by people's kindness and generosity. I am fundraising for the Bone Cancer Research Trust to support their mission to save lives and improve outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer. Brave and courageous are just some of the words that have been used to describe Luke throughout his battle with Ewing's Sarcoma, but these words really do not do justice to the true inspiration that he has been in fighting his battle.

Tragically Luke lost his fight just before Christmas on December 15th 2014 aged 26, and our son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and friend was taken from us. I would do anything and everything in my power to change things but with all the will and want in the world I cannot. But what I can is raise money in Luke's memory in the hope that others hearts and lives will not break the way ours have, and that some day we can prevent lives being taken too soon.

Due to a lack of research there has been no improvement in bone cancer survival rates for over 25 years. One day we will beat this but until then please join me in supporting this very worthy cause.

Whatever you can donate, no matter how small, will be appreciated more than words can say.
