Parkinson’s is something which is very close to out hearts with our dad recently being diagnosed twelve months ago with the disease. Dad is a man which inspires us to be the people we are today, he is a very level headed, supportive and bubbly character who does not let Parkinson’s effect who he is and what he does. W are very proud of him and our mum and the way they have supported each other since the diagnosis, this disease did not just have an impact on our dads health but it had an impact on his way of life as mum and dad sold the family herd of dairy cows last summer to try and improve things for dads health. Growing up with farming in your blood and that being all you’ve ever known this was a very difficult decision for them both! We are immensely proud of them and want to do our part of fundraising for the charity to help find a cure and provide support for people like dad! 

We have never ran a half marathon before so were not exactly sure how this is going to go considering two years ago we couldn’t even run a mile! Having done a couple of 10k’s in the last twelve months we know how hard this is going to be but now it is time to push on and complete it for a brilliant cause!
