On the 8th October I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for BookTrust. BookTrust is the UK’s largest children’s reading charity, they transform lives by getting children and families reading together. Each year BookTrust reach 2.5 million children across the UK by providing them with books, resources and support in the hope of igniting a love of reading. 

As you probably already know I love reading, and I pretty much always have a book to hand. Reading really is magical and it provides children with so many skills. It sparks their imagination, builds empathy and understanding and gives them the opportunity to explore the world in so many ways. 

With all of this in mind I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to help ignite this love of books, stories and reading in other children. So I’m running 13.1 miles. While this will be my fourth half marathon it honestly doesn’t get any easier! Any donations would be gratefully received as would a cheering squad if you’re in London on the 8th October!
