In Oct 2021 I decided I would never run another half marathon again, but here I am about to do it all again. This time I have a massive uphill task of getting fit enough to run. This isn't couch to 5k more like 4k to 21k in the next 6 weeks.......Why? Because I passionate about supporting Women and Children First - a charity I am a treasurer for that supports women and children survive and thrive.

Every 2 minutes a woman dies in pregnancy or childbirth. These deaths are often due to preventable problems like eclampsia or because women in labour cannot get to their local health facility. Women and Children First’s mission is to stop this tragic loss of life. We do this by working with local partners to implement lifesaving, life-changing community health groups..
