We operate a flying intensive care unit to fly critically ill babies and children.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Determined to grasp the last moments of freedom before my baby arrives and the sleepless nights begin, I am cycling across Ireland - from Dublin to Galway - at the beginning of May.

As you know, I'm never one to shirk a challenge and I can't wait to get into the saddle at 34 weeks (8.5 months) pregnant for this four-and-half-day trip, particularly as I will raising money for the Children's Air Ambulance.

After visiting their airbase in Coventry, I recently became an Ambassador for this special charity which flies critically ill children across the UK to the specialist care they need. They receive no government funding so every penny raised is vital to help continue their lifesaving work.

I will be taking it calm and steady (due to the bump!) and, naturally, won't be doing anything that will put me or the baby at risk. But I know that keeping active during pregnancy is good for both the body and mind.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you!

About the charity

The Children’s Air Ambulance is an inter-hospital transfer service flying critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for specialist care. With our ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, we can minimise travel times and the risk for patients.
