Having completed Couch to 5k this spring I wondered what was next? I saw an advert by Royal Papworth Hospital Charity offering places in the Cambridge Half Marathon & knew this was what’s next! 

Training for this has provided me with a focus for running & provides an opportunity to raise some funds for the hospital charity. 

In addition to its existing work (see below) the charity has provided much needed support to patients, families & staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. They have funded iPads on each ward to facilitate communication between patients & their families when visiting was not allowed, funded a project I lead on in Critical Care called ‘Read A Little Aloud’ providing reading sessions for our patients twice a week, provided refreshment stations around the hospital & funded well being services for staff during these challenging times. 

It would be great if I can give a little back & raise some monies for the charity. Any donations you can spare will be great fully received.
