Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  We are raising funds for the Wirral Group of the Motor Neurone Association.

Me and my wonderful friends & colleagues at Nationwide Ellesmere Port are taking part in a 10 mile walk on Saturday 22nd May. We will be walking from our branch to Chester Zoo and back!
Those of us taking part are myself Laura Brown, Sadie Blythe, Devon Barnwell, Laura Mortin, Laura Williams, Amy Carty, Dianne Scholes-Rothery, Simon Davies, Alison Craig, Lindsay Swan & Debbie Cartlidge.

We are hoping to raise some much needed funds and raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease which is a terminal illness with no treatment options or cure at present.

We are specifically raising funds for 'Wirral MNDA' who are currently supporting my amazing friend & local man Chris Thurston, who was diagnosed with MND 3 years ago.

Chris, supported by his amazing wife Kate and their 2 children is overcoming every obstacle so far with bravery and positivity that truly astounds and inspires me and others every day.

They have been receiving invaluble support from Wirral MNDA so we really want to help Chris and Kate give something back to this wonderful charity - on Chris' request!

Please help us to raise as much as we can - any donation would be so gratefully appreciated and would mean so much. Also, Nationwide Building Society help to match whatever we raise up to a certain amount so a wonderful support & incentive!

Thank you - and please wish us a sunny day!! 😁
