Story
So... most of you will already know that I am running the London Marathon in April this year... ahhhhh!!! :-/ No seriously I am really looking forward to it and more to the point to everyone coming to cheer me on!
I have decided to use my 26 mile challenge as an opportunity to raise money for my chosen charity 'The Blue Cross'. As you know I am a total dog/ animal nut and when I first thought about it was going to choose the RSPCA or Battersea Dogs home... However when my lovely mum informed me the other day that my beloved childhood pet dog Poppy, (who suffered a slipped disc at the age of 5) had her operation partly paid for by The Blue Cross as we couldn't afford it at the time, I decided to run it for them.
The Blue Cross (www.bluecross.org.uk) is a registered UK animal welfare charity which ensures the welfare of animals by providing practical care, highlights the benefits of companionship between animals and people and promotes a sense of respect and responsibility towards animals in the community. They also provide support to the nation's pets and their owners by treating pets whose owners cannot afford private veterinary treatment, finding permanent homes for unwanted or abandoned animals and educating the public in responsible animal ownership
Any donations would be much appreciated!!
Thanks xxxxx
