Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
After being diagnosed with Crohn's disease in 2008 when I was 17 I am now trying to raise not only money to help with research and a cure but also to raise awareness! Since being diagnosed my life has been turned completely upside down and not a day goes by where I don't have a stomach pain or have some issue that's a knock on effect from my Crohn's. If I hadn't of passed my driving test when I did I would of not made it through college as I was so ill, and i struggled through GCSE exams and even missed one of my A-levels due to being in hospital with a flare up! I'm on tablets for life as well as b12 injections as my Crohn's spread and now stops my body from producing vitamin b12 which effects my energy levels. My weight has been a roller coaster going down to a shocking 6'7 at my worst up to 11 stone and is ever changing, which is a nightmare not only for my confidence and self esteem but also for my wallet and bank balance :) I'm well at the moment and although it doesn't sound very pleasant, being put on humira injections and having to inject my belly every 2 weeks is probably one of the best things that has ever happened to me! I may as well have a bed at the hospital and a lot of the staff know my name but above all of this I'm extremely positive and still try to live my life to the full, and this is why I'm doing a bungee jump for all those suffers who haven't got the chance because they are so poorly! I have had such amazing support from my family, partner and friends and hopefully I can make you all proud by raising lots of pennies and flinging myself from a crane 160ft in the air hehe :) I love you all very much and thank you for all your support x
