South Coast Challenge 2018 · 25 August 2018 to 26 August 2018 ·

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity. We’re striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia.

Story

1 in 3.

This is how many people, born today, will develop dementia.

Unfortunately, many of us have experience in the devastating effects of dementia; some of us are confronted with the reality of Alzheimer's disease on a daily basis.

However, public understanding of dementia and its symptoms is low.

Alzheimer's Research UK is dedicated to finding a cure for the physical diseases (most commonly, Alzheimer's) that cause dementia.

To help fundraise for this charity and their amazing research, we will be walking the Ultra South Coast Challenge of 100k (just over 62 miles) in 24 hours- non-stop!.

The route takes us from Eastbourne; over the top of the iconic white cliffs of the south coast; through the centre of Brighton; up and over the hills of the South Downs; and finally finishing in Arundel.

For those who feel you can spare a little to sponsor us, you can do so via www.justgiving.com/fundraising/laura-newbury.

Or to help us simply raise awareness, please share this as much as you can.

Thank you

Laura & Laurie
