The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

I am challenging myself to the 2013 Blind Drive because without Guide Dogs I would not have Hester. Hester is my first guide dog and in just 6 months she has changed my life for the better, making me more confident and independant.

It costs £50,000 to breed, train and keep just one guide dog, of which Guide Dogs receives no government funding. Without the kind donations and support from those around us, it would not be possible for Guide Dogs to transform the lives of blind and partially sighted children and adults.

To me Hester is my 4 legged super-car, my key to independance!!

So please dig deep and donate today.
