At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Great Grandma, Nora Daphne Smith, who is now 95, was first diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2004. However she began to show symptoms of the disease as early as 1998. The Alzheimer's society provided much needed support to my Great Grandad, Harry, which enabled them to live at home for a number of years following her diagnosis.

My other Great Grandad, Roland Feltham, suffered from Vascular Dementia and when he sadly passed away 2 years ago the disease had left him unable to communicate and paralysed.

Having witnessed both these conditions in much loved relatives, I have decided I would like to do something to help and would like to raise some money for Alzheimer's society.
