Communicare in Southampton is a good neighbours charity helping people across the city of Southampton. The amazing volunteers help around 450 people, covering some 2,500 tasks including telephone befriending, transport to medical appointments, shopping for those who are housebound and collecting prescriptions. They're delighted to have reopened a regular lunch club and tea parties and are now offering befriending and DIY, where it's safe to do so. The volunteers make a real difference in helping to ease loneliness and isolation in Southampton.

I have decided to run this this race as I wanted to get back in to shape again after having my baby boy and felt that running for Communicare would be a great way to start.
