Six years ago, our wonderful mum started on her own battle with cancer and came out the other side, but we know of so many others who are still going through these battles every day. Not just the people diagnosed - but the friends & family who have to watch their loved ones suffer. When our family went through this, Macmillan Cancer Support were absolutely fundamental in providing the advice and support needed to make the whole horrible situation just that little bit less painful - both during and after the diagnosis and treatment.

Ever since the diagnosis six years ago, we knew we wanted to do our bit to raise money for this wonderful charity. Having not run before, we decided to do our first 10k, the following year our first half marathon - and now we have decided to set ourselves a pretty ambitious goal of running a full Marathon to hopefully raise even more money.

The most either of us have ran before is 13 miles and I hear a marathon is double that.. I'm sure we'll be fine..
