Story

Update: Biggest thanks of all to my extremely wonderful boyfriend who ran the Edinburgh half marathon in a very respectable time of 1 hr 40 all in the name of charity! Photos to follow.

Update: Massive thanks to everyone who attended the Ditch and Switch charity evening. It was a huge success and hopefully everyone got some lovely new clothes out of the night, along with a glass of bubbly and a MASSIVE cupcake! Well done to everyone who won a raffle prize.

Update: THANK YOU to all my lovely work colleagues - thanks to the cake and coffee morning, i've passed the first £1000 and had cakes for breakfast - good start to the day!!

Update: Thanks to all the lovely ladies who attended the Virgin Vie party, and made it a brilliant night -  we'll hopefully raise a decent amount raffling off the products.

Update:  Thankyou to all the lads who attended the Charity DVD Night, and helped get me to over a quarter of the way to my target by eating, drinking and watching bad films!

Hiiiiiiiiiiya!

Please excuse the horribly unimaginaitve photo - i will upload a better one as soon as i have it.... Anyway - As you may have realised, Im after your cash! In November, I plan to trek 100km across the Sahara in order to raise money for Shelter. Shelter relies heavily on donations from the public, including the Shelter shops, this makes up over 65% of their funds. It is an amazing charity - we are the fourth richest country in the world, and yet millions of people in Britain wake up every day in housing that is run-down, overcrowded, or dangerous. Many others have lost their home altogether. Bad housing robs us of security, health, and a fair chance in life. Shelter helps 170,000 people a year fight for their rights, get back on their feet, and find and keep a home. Shelter also tackles the root causes of bad housing by campaigning for new laws, policies, and solutions. All of the above and much more is why I have chosen to take on a challenge in support of Shelter

If you're on this page, im really hoping it means you will sponsor me – I have a target of £2,500 to meet, which at the moment looks like a terrifying figure, and whilst I will be holding various fundraising events, car boot sales etc, I don’t want to forget about good old fashioned sponsorship! It doesnt matter how large or small the amount, every little helps.

Thankyou soooo much to those who have already given offline, you are stars!

Thanks - Leanne xx
