Sadly in 2001 I lost my mother to cancer but in the last couple of weeks of her life she was with Pilgrims Hospice in Canterbury and with thanks to them they made her last days comfortable and as easy as possible. Also giving great support to myself and all the other family members.

It's about time I said a big thank you & doing/arranging these events is my way of saying thank you to them.

Also leading up to that date I shall be doing various small events to make as much money as possible. From a leg wax, a day in fancy dress, a boot fairs, selling raffle tickets, craft faryes, mini auctions & many more.

ABOUT PILGRIMS HOSPICES

Pilgrims Hospices is a charity providing specialist pallative care free of charge to people in East Kent. They care for illnesses that cannot be curered such as cancer, heart failure and neurological diseases. Care is provided from three sites in Canterbury, Ashford and Thanet, in patients homes and via community programmes. Care is also extended to family and carers.

To keep delivery care, Pilgrims Hospices has to raise nearly £10million each year. Around 75% comes from the local community, 25% is from NHS funding. So fund raising is vital and any contribution made is gratefully received.
