Lee is running 2024 Supernova Forth Road Bridge for Cystic Fibrosis Trust

Supernova Forth Road Bridge · 2 November 2024 ·
Welcome to my Just Giving fundraising page!
I am running the 2024 Supernova Forth Road Bridge on 2nd November for Cystic Fibrosis Trust in order to raise as much money as possible.
Cystic Fibrosis is a condition close to my heart, as my best friend’s eldest boy, Alfie, was diagnosed with CF only a few days after being born, having only shown symptoms at birth. The strength that Alfie and his family need to face their challenges both humbles and inspires me.
Yes, I want to raise funds to help to find a cure and improve the lives of those who suffer from this illness but I’m also doing this for my friend Claire (Alfie’s Mum). She really is an inspiration to me with EVERYTHING (and we don’t even know the half of it!) that she deals with so I’d like to do a wee 5K to show my support and to also say ‘thank you’ to Claire for showing me what’s possible - we really can exceed our own expectations of ourselves and find hidden strength when we need it the most.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life.
They are a fantastic Charity and I would be so grateful if you could take the time to sponsor me to help the cause and to motivate me in my training!
Thank you so much,
Lee
