Story
The 'Heads On' Sussex Charity came to our attention as it is the Harley Davidson 1066 Chapter's chosen charity for 2017. They help people with mental health problems to feel supported, to stay active and to be more involved in their communities.
We are both very keen cyclists and we also have a love of Harley Davidson motorcycles. Steve is the Sales Director & Dealer Principle of Shaw Harley-Davidson and is also the current Director of the 1066 Chapter of which I am a Road Captain. It therefore became an even better opportunity for us to support the charity by participating in this great cycling event....and for the avoidance of doubt we will be doing this on our cycles not Harley's!
The Prudential Ride London 100 is a legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The event starts in the Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it's a truly spectacular event for all involved. The ride finishes on The Mall in central London, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic.
