Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation. We work in over 70 countries - in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We are independent, neutral and impartial. We provide medical care where it's needed most.

Story

We're just bought a child into the world, Leif. He is born into a rich country, a country with stability, incredible medical care and great life chances.

He has everything he needs right now. Others are not so lucky. And rather than have people send us gifts or give us money for the child's arrival, we would much rather that our friends and family give to those who have the least: those fleeing war, poverty, drought.

There are many child refugees lost around the world, stateless, terrified, and facing a grim future. How to stop this seems a task beyond tasks. Yet we want to give a chance that might help an individual, a child that by sheer bad luck was born in circumstances well beyond our own baby.

All money raised here will go to Medecines Sans Frontieres.

This was inspired by a local hero called Brendan Woodhouse: read more here:

He recently was awarded a medal for exceptional public service after rescuing a drowning baby girl, Sewin. He made a difference, he saved a life.

Our baby will want for nothing. So please give what you can to those who have nothing.
