To celebrate the summer solstice, and to support a charity dear to both our hearts, Stasy and I will be climbing Ben Nevis throughout the night of 22 June.

We have both experienced the terrible impact this condition can have on people close to us, and wanted to make our small contribution to the great work undertaken by the Alzheimer's Society.

The whole climb and descent is expected to take eight hours, with the promise of a spectacular sun rise (Scotland's weather willing) as we reach the peak at 1,344 metres (4,409 feet).

Any support you can offer, however small, would go a long way to helping us achieve our goal and keep us motivated throughout the challenge.
