Story
On Sunday 4th October I will be running my first ever marathon!
As many of you know my life has been affected severely by cancer, both my Mum and my Grandpa lost their lives to Cancer. My grandmother had Cancer and thankfully beat it! I have seen what Cancer does to people and their families and the support that is needed. Therefore I am running for the Cancer Nursing fund at the The Royal Free.
It covers everything staff and patients need. This includes equipment, chemotherapy chairs, enhanced and refurbished clinical patient and relative environments and staff training for advanced skills for cancer therapy. Staff would also refer to CAMHS if they feel children of cancer patients require support. As part of cancer care, there is the support system for immediate family. Of course these are very uncertain times for everyone but particularly patients with cancer as much treatment has been delayed due to a delay in receiving patients. We need to be able to react to what the patients and staff need and to be flexible in the environment they are working in.
Thanks for your support with my London Marathon JustGiving challenge!
My page donations will be sent direct to the charity in a fast and secure way. Its efficient, saves time and cuts costs for the charity. Let's do this!
