In memory of Mollie Jones
We offer respite & palliative care to children, young people & their families

Story

Mollie Jones was my beautiful, talented niece and she was taken from us on 3rd March 2015 at just 19 years old. Mollie suffered an unexpected bleed to her brain and died in Royal Preston hospital.

Mollie was a singer and boy was she amazing, she would of without a doubt been on x-factor this year which she had entered. She had just passed her driving test, new car owner and she was so happy, working, lovely boyfriend and so many friends. She had THE best mum and dad and brother who adored her and were so proud of her and her achievements. Her YouTube views are endless. She was the first born grandchild into our family, my only niece. Her cousins idolised her. She was fearless and not a bad bone in her body. She was a perfect girl in her perfect world, until....

Life will never be the same again, we are broken as people and as a family, not to mention the torture my brother Brendan, sister in law, Ange and brave  nephew, Mason have to face everyday without her presence in their once complete home. We know it does happen but You never expect it to happen to your family, not to someone so young and with the world in her hands.......It's been 6 months and Mollie would have been 20 last week,  it's a black cloud over us constantly, a sophicating feeling almost, it's not going away....

I used to always believe charity began at home, but that's changed too, I get it now, why people want to fundraise for their special charity remembering their loved one, it's like the only act that helps you slightly knowing you can help others who are suffering the same fate.

Mollie used to visit Derian house children's hospice and perform dancing and cheerleading for the children. Derian house take care of children who need palliative care, they also provide respite for the family's by looking after there poorly child.....they operate from fund raising and donations alone and the cost of all this amazing end of life care that they provide is thousands of pounds a day.....no one should have to lose a child but they truly make this a child heaven before the inevitable happens. So on - Sunday 30th August, We, mollies family and friends and people who want to help are going to either run, walk or bike ride 15.5 miles in memory of our angel. The planned route is significant to Mollie.  It will begin at Cardinal Newman college in Preston were mollie studied performing arts, it then leads on to mollies high school, St Michaels in chorley, following on to mollies primary school Heskin Pemberton in Heskin then finally up to St Oswalds RC in coppull were she is peacefully sleeping. This is why it's named 'Mollies Miles'.

Please sponsor us whatever you can, for such an amazing cause
