London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·

Welcome to our London Marathon team page! We have nine amazing runners aiming to raise over £13,000 to support vital research into Trauma and Orthopaedics, transforming lives and giving people back their freedom and independence.

Story

There are 20 million people in the UK living with a musculoskeletal condition? That's about a third of the population. And its not limited to the elderly. I suffered with it too at the age of 28 by having a bilateral hip operation. I was the 11 per cent of those affected being under 35. Sadly, the odds are that we or someone close to us will suffer from a musculoskeletal disorder, be involved in a major limb trauma, or have joint replacement surgery at some point in our lives. Raising this money will help advances in trauma and orthopaedic care are driven through dynamic and innovative research. This run proves that is not the end of the road with after having a big operation and anything is possible. Please give what you can, I really want to give something back to an organisation that have given me a pain free life. Thank you for reading my story. Jake Ellis
