As I am fortunate to live in what is deemed by many as the Peace and Justice capital of Europe, I decided to complete the Den Haag 5K Peace Run to raise awareness for UNICEF and the work they are doing in war-stricken countries like Syria and Sudan. I'm asking my friends to show their support for my efforts and the even more challenging efforts of UNICEF in these places, by offering a donation directly to UNICEF for their much needed work. I would also ask thatif anyone was intending on sending me a birthday gift in these next few weeks, then a donation to UNICEF would be far more beneficial and much preferred! 

As someone who has experienced quite poor health in recent years, the completion of this run has also been something truly significant on a more personal level. God has rebuilt me these past few years and shown me His strength in my weakness. This run was primarily for His glory.
