Lewis started growing his hair 2 years ago when he saw a post on facebook about a little girl that had cancer and had no hair as it had fallen out with the chemo. 

Lewis being only 6 years old at the time asked questions and I did my best to answer each one with as much info as possible but without scaring him... He decided at that point that he could grow his hair and then give it to the little girl so she would have beautiful hair again, again I did my best to explain how giving his hair would help kids just like the little girl and he told me that's exactly what he was going to do.

Since then, he's gone through the pain of getting tugs brushed out, and the humiliation of being mistaken for a little girl, and he's borne them as best as he could, all in the hope that he could give just one little girl a little helping hand in her time of need.

So we're asking you to put your hand in your pocket, that it might be a sacrifice that helps, not just one little girl, but as many as we can. One day, all the little girls and boys, and we won't need little boys as strong as our Lewis to give their hair, and the years it takes to grow it.
