Our aims as a charity is to support medical research into finding treatments which help to prolong lives of children diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). We need to raise awareness of this deadly cancer so children with DIPG have a future.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've chosen to raise awareness for Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma
(DIPG). I'd first heard of DIPG through a good friend and colleague
who's nephew Robert Andrew Munro (Bobo), had been diagnosed with DIPG atthe very young age of 11 in 2015. Unfortunately Bobo lost his fight at the tender age of 13, Bobo's full story can read on RAM.Charity.

After making the decision late in Decemeber to do something out of my comfort zone in the new year, I decideded to do 1,016,000 Meter (1016KM)  cycle (indoors :)) in the 31 days of January 2022 for chairty. The cycle distance is based on the distance from Inverness to Dover - Inverness being Bobo's birthplace.

I appreciate January can be a bit of a tight month from the Decemebr hangover but any donations no matter how small will make a difference and would be greatly appreciated. I'll be posting daily progress on my social media accounts Instagram and Facebook, to date I've completed 64.6km.

Thanks,

Lewis
