Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My son Ian was diagnosed 11 years ago with secondary progressive MS aged 34. Within a few years he had to take medical retirement as he was no longer able to perform his job as a press photographer. He no longer has the use of any of his limbs and it was recently discovered that he is unable to eat properly and is 'peg fed' directly into his stomach. He can still talk and has maintained a wicked sense of humour. Unfortunately the nursing he requires has meant him becoming a resident in a nursing home.

My wife Jane was diagnosed with primary progressive MS 7 years ago. Although her ability to walk is limited with the aid assistance she is still able to lead a fairly good life.
