Hello, 

My name is Liam Mountford and on the 3rd of October 2021, I plan on running The London Marathon for the Firefighters Charity. In order to do this I need to raise £1900. 

The reason I’m running for the Firefighters Charity is because it’s a charity that’s close to me personally; I’m currently a Firefighter in Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire. 

Last year hit the Firefighters Charity hard, as it did many, and the money I raise will support the charity in giving life changing treatment, not just physically but also mentally. 

What does the charity do?

“The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to achieve mental, physical and social wellbeing throughout their lives. We provide independent, personalised support to thousands of people each year, and they’re not all firefighters. We exist to support all fire and rescue service personnel, whatever their role in the service. We are also here for all those who have retired, as well as for spouses and dependants.”
