Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My Story

Like many people, over the last 12-18 months I have seen my mental health suffer and until I was in that situation I never appreciated how debilitating it can be to your life and those around you.

I suffered with Anxiety and found simple day to day tasks hard to complete. It affected my home life and my career and I was at a real low.

I am proud to say that I am one of the lucky ones that came out the other side but many don't. So I feel it is important to turn my experience into a positive one and help raise awareness of the great work that charities such as Mind in Somerset do.

Mind in Somerset are able to provide guidance and advice on how to seek support to people suffering with mental health issues.

Running has been one of the ways I have been able to accept and manage my anxiety, so I thought taking on my first ever running event would be an apt way to fundraise.

I will be running the Weston Super Half Marathon in October this year.

I would really appreciate your support and would be extremely grateful for any donations towards fundraising for Mind in Somerset.
