Story
I have been thinking of fundraising for brain tumour research and support for the last two years now. It is something very close to my heart having had brain surgery in 2016 after a benign tumour was found in my brain. Thankfully the surgery was successful and I am fighting fit...hopefully enough to run 5k a day in May :-)
My friend Paul was also diagnosed with the same pineal cyst six months after my diagnosis. Unfortunately for him his was a malignant tumour and Paul lost his brave fight after two years.
I am running 5k a day in May in honour of Paul and would love to raise funds to help support patients, their families and fight brain tumours and the devastation they can cause.
Brain tumours continue to kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer yet at the current rate of spend, it could take 100 years for brain cancer to catch up with developments in other diseases and find a cure.
Brainwaves NI rely 100% on voluntary donations and couldn't continue their work without supporters. Any donation you can make will help support local NI patients and their families and one day hopefully defeat brain tumours! www.brainwaves-ni.org

Thank you for any support at all.
