Lisa's Just Giving Page raising funds for the Dogs Trust

Virgin London Marathon 2016 · 24 April 2016 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I wanted to set myself a challenge so I have decided to run the London Marathon in April (Yes I know I am mad). There are many charities that are close to my heart & I would have loved to have helped raise money for all of them, unfortunately I had to choose one. So I have chosen the Dogs Trust. Lets face it we all love dogs & they instantly become a huge part of the family, however not all dogs are lucky enough to be a part of a loving home. This is where the dogs trust steps in, there aim is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. As a family we have had dealings with the Dogs Trust and rescued our family dog Fudge from there in 2011. Fudge has a problem with his pancreas and rather than the family he was with originally taking him to the vets to get this diagnosed, they continued to let him suffer before they decided they no longer wanted him. Fudge was then placed into foster care & then came to live with us. It hasn't been easy but I can honestly say he is a fabulous boy & we would be lost without him. The dogs trust is solely reliant on voluntary donations and without our support they will not be able to care for around 17,000 dogs every year. So I am asking all my wonderful friends & family to support me & to give as much as they can to help me reach my target & support this wonderful charity.
