Story
On 22nd June 2014 20 slightly mad Greyhound Gap volunteers will be visiting zipworld in Snowdonia and travelling down their big dipper! The big dipper is a 1 mile zipline, 500ft high over the quarry travelling at speeds of up to 100mph. You are suspended beneath the zipline in flying position! Most of us are terrified and a lot of us including myself are scared of height's, I cried on a ladder paining my kitchen ceiling last year!! This is no easy under taking for any of us BUT we are all doing this and paying for it personally from our own pockets because we are passionate about Greyhound Gap and the work they do. By funding this ourselves it means that ALL sponsor money donated will go directly to Greyhound Gap to help the dog's in their care.
Greyhound Gap is an independant charity saving dogs from death row and is totally self funded. We usually have around 100 dogs in our care with bills running between 6-10k every single month! Mad new fundraising ideas like this have to be undertaken to enable us to continue with our work.
I would like to take the chance to thank you personally now to anyone who is kind enough to think of us and sponsor us! Fingers crossed we all come back fit and healthy to tell the tale!
