Fundraising for REORG jiujitsu - supporting emergency services personnel veterans

Lisa's Spartan Race & 10km for REORG · 28 November 2021
This year I am committed to raising £10k for this incredible charity. I will be running a 10km in March, throwing myself out of a plane in April, doing a Spartan race in May and attempting a world record paddle out (on surfboards) in June/July. £10k will enable this fantastic charity to make a significant difference to many more veterans, serving military and emergency services personnel. Please read about them below:
Why Am I Doing This?
I have suffered with my mental health at several points in my life after facing a traumatic experience in my late teens and finding ways to process that trauma is crucial to recovery. I have several people close to me who are first responders and ex service personnel, all of whom have faced their own demons and life changing experiences. Having met the guys at REORG through one of these special people, I was super impressed by what a difference they're making to so many and I wanted to help.
About REORG
REORG Jiu Jitsu has a simple mission - to help those suffering from PTSD/ life altering injuries and depression after serving in the forces or as first responders through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. BJJ is proven to help combat the challenge of poor mental health and physical disabilities many face after serving in hostile environments and dealing with constant trauma. For many leaving the services after many years, adjusting to 'normal' life brings huge challenges and BJJ is a massive help.
Founded by ex Royal Marines C/Sgt Sam Sheriff MBE, REORG has grown exponentially over the last few years and been able to help numerous military personnel, veterans and first responders.
The work of REORG proves the strength of the BJJ community and the continued growth of the sport.
If you want to help the people who have put their lives on the line for us day after day and saved the lives of many others, please donate and share my page as much as possible!
