My son was born, 23.20 hrs 24/02/11, taken away straight after birth after ingesting meconium. His organs began to fail one after the other finally being resuscitated early hours the following morning. A transfer team from Maidstone hospital arrived and  decided he was too ill to travel. If it wasn’t for the paediatrician at St Thomas/Guys hospital he wouldn’t be here today. The team, 24hr support is why Lucas is a strong, intelligent boy.  Words can’t express the care given and this is why I’m doing this. Every day babies and children need this. I’m so proud to be doing and supporting a wonderful cause.
