Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, in memory of our inspirational Hazel White.

An outlaw full is more commonly known as an 'Ironman Event'. Which consists of;

- 2.4 mile swim.

- 112 mile cycle.

- 26.2 mile run (Marathon distance!)

Losing Hazel in December 2021 we were inspired to undertake this event in her memory.

Training began Christmas 2021, starting at 'base phase' of 6 hours per week of training, working our way up to 'peak phase' of 16+ hours per week... Exhausting!

Hazel was brave and resilient throughout her illness, with her final words to the family, as we were chatting and reminiscing - "just 5 more minutes". This is now embedded into us through all we do and will hopefully motivate us to cross the finish line!

Hazel had Ovarian Cancer, which was initially kept at bay through her chemotherapy treatment. Unfortunately returning with no cure.

1 in 2 of us will battle cancer. A now common, but equally terrifying, statistic. Your donations will provide hope of beating this statistic and be gratefully received by Cancer Research UK
