Liv's work (Adderstone Foundation) have very kindly offered to match fund the money raised up to £300.

All the proceeds will go directly to the Alzheimer's Society. Our Mama (Judy Pocklington) has suffered with the disease for over 10 years. We are running this for her and our Popa (Jim Pocklington) who has been the most amazing carer to our Mama.  We hope to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause. 

Dementia affects 850,000 people in the UK, with numbers forecast to increase to over one million by 2025. Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. Their goal is to find “better care for today and ultimately a cure for tomorrow”.

In March we kicked off our training plan. Liv running in freezing cold Newcastle, with frequent visits to the physio to keep her knees in order, whilst Kitty is running along the coast and around the parks in the Melbourne summer sun, and stretching it off in yoga. We all know where we'd rather be!
