Caring Matters Now is the only UK charity supporting children and adults affected by Congenital Melanocytic Naevi (CMN) - a genetic condition, consisting of dark brown hairy birthmarks covering up to 80% of the body. The condition has many expressions, some of which can lead to medical complexities

Story

Our team from St. Margaret's CE Academy wants to do something positive to help others so this year we have chosen to run the Liverpool Half Marathon to raise funds for the work of CMN (Caring Matters Now). This charity is run by a local woman called Jodi Whitehouse who has had direct links with our school and who attended Archbishop Blanch. The charity seeks to support people who have the potentially life-threatening condition of Congenital Melanocytic Naevus. Jodi has CMN and she has worked hard to raise awareness of the condition, to provide support for other suffers and to raise funds for research into the condition. Over the past 20 years the charity has supported over 450 families and raised over £230,000. The cause of the condition has now been found and now it's time to find a cure.

Caring Matters Now has put together a short documentary and what has been achieved over the past 20 years. Please take a look and you will see that your donation will make a huge difference to the lives of those affected by CMN. https://vimeo.com/173507849

Thank you for your support.
